                                      In the Land of Fairies

China has always been remained a mysterious land for foreigners. In our folk stories it is mentioned as the land of fairies. As many peoples from swat work in mercantile navy and they have been to china many time in the past .They always told the stories of china and I got always keen interest in such type of information’s had always wished to go and visit this mysterious country.
As best friend of Pakistan, Pakistani news papers always publish stories about china prominently. I also wanted see china fast development and was also interested wt was the magic behind this all
Working in Radio Pakistan also provides chances to see and visit different parts of the country and so I have been to many parts of the country and places. I got the chance to see many historical places and also saw how the government .is keeping these places.
One day I heard the news that CRI needed language expert for Urdu service
And so my name was also included for the same purpose. After test Interviews I heard that I was selected for the same post. The news was surprising and was very anxious to go to the fascinating land as soon as possible. I imagined the world most modern country as was told in the stories. It was 15th of October2007, when I flew by PIA to Karachi from where I had to go by through Air China to Beijing. The flight was scheduled at 11 PM, and so the plane landed at Beijing International Air port at 8 AM. When  came out of plane to the cold breeze welcomed us to Beijing.
Sky was clear and sun was shining with cold rays. The air was clean  and my impression  of dust disappeared and I was wondering that the report in press before coming to china were that there is a lot of pollution in air but I witnessed no such a situation.
The secret behind this was china had controlled the pollution to make clean and healthy environment for up coming Beijing Olympic Games. At air port we witnessed that how much importance china was giving to Beijing Olympic Games. Every where the banners and posters announced that this was a matter of great prestige for the Chinese nation and they said there hundred years old dream had come true.
China had shown the world that Chinese nation is hard working and as wt ever she promised the world and what ever commitment she made were fullfiled. And the entire community of the world witnessed the moment on Eight August 2008,that Chinese nation is one of the greatest nation of the world
One of my future colleagues ( wo pang fei) was waiting for me at air port and meeting him is unforgettable for me….because he had another
